COPYRIGHT: FARRIS GERARD.

The Arts and Entertainment Magazine is very pleased to learn the Producer Jason Figgis, whom we had interviewed in the November 2011 issue of our magazine is working on a new film.

The tile of his new production is called The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann  which tells the story of a young girl who is forced to become the mother image for her family after her own mother’s death. Raising her younger siblings as if they are her own children, and caring for her bereaving father, Isabel struggles in her new role in life. This is no ordinary tale of woe, however, as a new wrinkle takes hold of her future. Isabel becomes a victim of a vampire and slowly turns to the dark side.

Jason is presenting this story, and we have added a link to the campaign he is running to gain supporters. With our magazines many contacts in the world of cinema, and our many friends in Hollywood, this should become a winning film for the horror crowd. We look forward to seeing this film in movie houses across the United States, and hope that the movie moguls in Hollywood pay close attention to our News Flash about Jason’s production. (more…)

OUR 2013 PORTFOLIO

Off to a Rough Start - Our portfolio failed to keep pace with the S&P 500 over the past five weeks.  Strong performances from GE (GE), AIG (AIG), News Corp. (NWSA), and Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B) were negated by disappointing earnings guidance from Whole Foods Market (WFM) and B&G Foods (BGS), and a plunge in the shares of Facebook (FB).  Over the past five weeks, our portfolio gained 0.76% while the S&P 500 gained 3.24%.  Since its January 10 inception, our portfolio has lost 0.31% while the S&P 500 has gained 3.64%.  (more…)

A new science challenge from our publisher, Joseph J. O’Donnell

Saturday, December 15th, 2012

Joseph O’Donnell

Recently I had seen a story in another media publication stating that NASA was ‘Lost in Space’. Their article said that NASA has no set objectives for further space exploration because they lack guidance from the government and the public. I thought the statement was absurd, but as our economy is going into a grey area, and politicians are behaving….well political, I can partially understand their statement. With impending budget cuts possibly cutting into programs it gives a little more solidity to the media article’s reasoning.

This past September I offered two challenges to the Scientific community (see the Sept.2012 Science section) and now I am about to offer a third challenge. I am asking the science community, university faculties and students, and the private sector to rise up in a ‘Grass Roots Movement’ to offer suggestions, and support, to NASA. I will also seek further support for Space Exploration from European and Asian Space Agencies as well. This must be a ‘team effort’ by scientists, academics, and enthusiasts from around the world. After all, this will be an adventure for all of mankind and will benefit the entire human race.

TAEM News Flash-The Arts and Entertainment Magazine & The Eerie Digest attends the Baltimore Comic Con!!!

Monday, October 1st, 2012

The first thing our readers will notice is that both our new name and original name has been used in the headliner of the News Flash. This was because so many of the comic book artists had recognized our original name at this classic Baltimore event. It was strange but welcome to find so many of our fans there.

I manned the camera the two days so my photographer (and son) could gain some impressive autographs for his collection. We did switch places as my arms got tired from lugging the equipment while trying to shoot the many costumed attendees. The young and adults both were dressed up as their favorite heroes and villains.

Attending the event were some heavy hitters from the comic book publishers. Stan Lee, Neal Adams, Scot Snyder, Greg Capulio, David Finch, and Brian Bolland  were there to sign works from the likes of Batman and Spiderman. There were also many up and coming artists displaying there talents. (more…)

TAEM Newsflash- Author Amy Mah has a new Novel !

Monday, October 1st, 2012

Author Amy Mah who we had interviewed in our March 1st, 2011 issue, has now published a follow-up issue to her hit Fangs Rule: A Girl’s Guide to being a Vampire. Amy has a huge following in the UK, and is gaining an interest by the younger generation here in the States. Her new book is titled Amy Mah, Vampire, and can be found at Amazon.

Our publisher has read this new work by Amy and found it quite interesting. We feel that the younger set, with their keen interest in all things Vampire, will enjoy this book as well. “It does have a hint at sexual play, but is much more tame than it sets out on”, he has been heard to say. Parents of young children may need to be more discerning but older teenagers and young adults would love the humor within its pages. (more…)
